Cargo management
Vervo’s own fleet currently consists of 7 trucks and 7 drivers. Vervo also acts as a coordinator for delivery services using other fleets. The company uses GPS fleet tracking to plan delivery times and build a more successful relationship with drivers.
The GPS solution shows the vehicles’ location in real time and displays information on how many kilometres are left until the unloading point. Aleksands, Vervo’s fleet manager, also highlights the opportunity to provide real-time data to the customer:
“When a client has a very important shipment and asks for a GPS location, we can send them a tracking link so they know where the truck is and how far it is from the client.”
Additionally, Vervo uses the fleet fuel management solution to make sure that the cargo arrives on time and that there is no need to stop at a petrol station. Often, drivers themselves ask for data on their fuel consumption to plan time before the delivery and determine when it’s best to refuel.
Driver management
Given that Vervo represents the transport and logistics industry, one of the most valuable solutions for them is automatic remote tachograph download. Aleksandrs explains that the solution makes it easier to prepare reports, as the data collected shows driver work time, the remaining work hours in the week, and the countries drivers have visited during a selected period.
The platform also shows the number of days since the last download of the driver card, its expiry date, and the next tachograph calibration date to help manage the processes more effortlessly.
In addition to tachograph data, the company uses the driver activity report that shows the distance covered by each driver, total driving time, maximum speed, number of stops, and parking time during a selected period. On the Mapon platform, managers can schedule reports to generate them automatically after a specific period.
