The main advantages of fleet software integrations are speed and reliability. People are used to doing things manually, but there are better options.
For example, with the old way, an accountant writes to a driver asking him to upload a paper receipt of a fuel purchase, then checks its legitimacy, and finally copies the data to an accounting system or even a basic spreadsheet. It takes a while.
With integrations, most of those steps can be automated. Using the same example, verified data about the fuel purchase is automatically imported from the seller's systems, and then sent to the accounting software via an API integration. As a result, you free up your employees’ time without sacrificing data accuracy.
